Lidia Gutierrez Deleon

Lidia Gutierrez De Leon, 86, was born in Waelder, Texas, on April 1, 1939, and was called to be with her Lord and Savior on February 26, 2026, in Houston, Texas.

Lidia was a devoted mother, grandmother, great- great grandmother and woman of deep faith. Her relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the foundation of her life. She was known for her kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering compassion for others. Loving and nurturing by nature, she found her greatest joy in caring for her family. 

She cherished her grandchildren dearly and treasured every moment spent with them. Lidia enjoyed gardening, cooking meals for her loved ones, and simply embracing the role she valued most—being a mother. Her home was a place of warmth, comfort, and unconditional love.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rodrigo De Leon, Sr., who passed away in April 1980; and by her two sons, Rodrigo De Leon, Jr. (2004) and Adam De Leon (2009).

Lidia leaves behind to cherish her memory her sons, Mario G. De Leon and wife Amelia, and Ray Marcus De Leon; her daughter, Sandra Flores and husband David Flores. Her brother, Santos Gutierrez Jr.; her sister, Belia Gonzalez; her nine grandchildren, Angie, Roxanne, Danielle, Adam Jr., Jonathan, Nicole, Candace, David Jr., and Katherine; and her four great-grandchildren, Sebastin, Sean, Emma, and Lillieanna. She is also survived by many extended family members and a host of dear friends.

Lidia will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
