Lila J. Thurber

Entered Heaven on February 13, 2023 at the age of 94. Beloved wife of the late Charles E. Thurber. Dear mother of Jeffrey Thurber of Laona, Charles F. (Sandy) Thurber of Sussex, Carrie (George) Frigge of Big Bend and Ann Thurber of New Berlin. Loving grandmother of five grandchildren. She is survived by her sister-in-law Audrey Pendergast of Sun Prairie.
Lila lived a full life and her family was very important to her. For many years she cared for her own parents, aunts and other relatives including her own family. She was an active, lifelong church member and served in many capacities. She made sure her children and family knew their Savior and received a Christian education. She also enjoyed many dogs over the years and found joy in them. Her life included working outside the home as well and she did her best in all her vocations.
She will be missed very much by many people, especially her family but we look forward to being with her again!
Special thank you to the Froedtert Hospital and Horizon Hospice for expectational care of Lila. We will always remember the special nurses and doctors and all the staff who cared for her and also for us.
Visitation Sunday, February 19th at CHRIST THE LORD LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1650 N. Brookfield Rd. from 1:30 pm until time of Funeral Service at 3:00 pm.
Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
