Lillian Antoinette Comotto Campbell, 89, of Statesville NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Born on January 13, 1936 in Astoria, NY, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Comotto and Julia Ciconga Comotto. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Campbell, and daughter-in-law, Alana Cerrone Long.
Lillian dedicated 25 years of her career to IBM, where she worked as a manager. Outside of her professional life, she had a passion for decorating, cooking, and gardening. A gifted pianist, she once had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in her youth. In recent years, she found joy in the simple pleasure of coloring. A woman of deep faith, she was a devoted member of St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church in Statesville. Above all, Lillian was a cherished wife, mother, and grandmother whose love and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Glenn Long (fiancé, Margie Abernathy); grandchildren, Thomas (Kara) Long and Chris (Liz) Long; and great-grandchildren, Camden Long and Hallie Long.
