A graveside service for Lillian U. (Cook) Doty, 92, of Cleburne, will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 18, 2025 in the Rosehill Cemetery located at 405 Watters St., Cleburne, Texas 76033 with Rev. John Glover officiating. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday July 17, 2025, at Crosier-Pearson Cleburne Funeral Home located at 512 North Ridgeway Drive, Cleburne.
Lillian U. (Cook) Doty, a cherished member of her community and family, passed away on July 15, 2025, in Cleburne, Texas. Born on November 24, 1932, in Walnut Springs, Texas, Lillian was a devoted nurse, a talented cook, and a loving mother whose passions included sewing and traveling.
Lillian was known for her remarkable ability to nurture those around her. She pursued a fulfilling career as a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), where she selflessly dedicated herself to caring for others. Those who were fortunate enough to know Lillian will remember her warmth, her delicious meals, and the handmade treasures she created with love.
Lillian is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Doty, Sr.; parents, William and Jessie Cook; sister, Shirley Walker, and brothers, Kenneth Cook and Bailey Cook.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Swallow and husband Michael; son, Charles R. Doty II and wife Julia; grandchildren: Brianna Johnson and husband Austin, Jack Bufford and wife Taylor, and Janna Bufford; great-grandchildren, Blakelyn and Beaux Johnson and a host of other relatives and friends.
Lillian U. Doty will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to her family, her nurturing spirit, and her many contributions to those fortunate enough to know her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will not be forgotten.
