Lillian Jean Grimes, 94 of Magnolia, MS passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025 at her residence in Magnolia, MS. She was born Saturday, July 11, 1931 in Parkin, Arkansas.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Bala Chitto Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Daniel Pounds Cemetery in Magnolia, MS. Bro. Greg Whitehead will officiate. Sharkey Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lillian leaves a legacy in the strength of her family and the sweetness she shared with everyone she met, and the profound, simple love she gave freely. Lillian lived a life full of caring and kindness. She also held a special place in her heart for her small dogs. When Lillian was younger, she found enjoyment working on her families dairy farm. She always enjoyed helping out wherever she was needed.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jerry Wayne Gibson; father, John L Grimes; mother, Ethel Parker; brothers, Robert Dean Grimes, Johnny Edward Grimes, Jerry Toby Grimes and Donnie Carroll Grimes; sisters, Doris Faye Grimes Bourn and Mary Elizabeth Grimes Smith; grandchild, Jonathon Wade Gibson (Stacy).

Survivors include her grandchildren, David Wayne Gibson (Anita), Lillian Felicia Raborn, Timothy Edwin Gibson, Janie Nicole Martin (Shawn) and Abigail Caroline Shropshire.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Bourn, Shane Grimes, Justin Duncan, Michael Gibson, Eddie Hutchinson, and John Grimes.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Gibson, Jonathon Wade Gibson, and Timothy Edwin Gibson.
