Eleanor M Grimes

Eleanor M. (Ambrose) Grimes, 84, of Beverly, passed away on Tuesday, October 14th, after a long and courageous battle with illness. Born on October 14th, 1941, in Beverly to the late Charles and Florence (Reman) Ambrose, she was the beloved wife of the late Robert Grimes for 23 years.
She was educated at Beverly Public Schools and for most of her adult life she worked as a home health aide, however her most cherished role was that of mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She had a great appreciation of nature and particularly enjoyed camping. She loved to travel and if those travel plans included a visit to a casino or a good BINGO game, all the better. She touched the lives of the many patients and families that she cared for over the years and will be fondly remembered for her great strength and compassion.
She is survived by her son, Ronald Belanger and his wife Doreen of Danville, NH ; two daughters, Diana Arnold of Windham, ME; Donna Gray and her husband Donald of Nashua, NH ; one brother, Gordon Ambrose; two sisters, Lucy Oullette; Priscilla Belanger; six grandchildren, Jeremy Goodwin; Katie Anderson; Nicholas Goodwin; Brandon Belanger ;Tyler Belanger; Ashley Arnold; seven great grandchildren, Parker; Colton; Liam; Lydia; Gavin; Charlotte; Braydon ; and countless friends.
Her funeral service will be at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, on Thursday, October 23rd, at 12:00 p.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
