Lillian Hunger, 92, of Raleigh NC joined her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2025.
She is survived by her daughters, Gail M Hunger and husband DY Lacey, Susan Batts and husband Howard, grandchildren, Zadie EH Lacey, Isidor AH Lacey, Noah Batts and Ethan Batts.
Lillian was born and raised in New York. After graduating high school she worked in prestigious hotel in NYC as a bookkeeper. After marrying she and her husband Walter moved to Smithtown, Long Island to raise their two adopted daughters. During their childhood she was a homemaker. Lillian loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adeline's. She also enjoyed bowling and traveling with her family. Lillian was very social and was happiest around her friends and family.
In 1995 when her husband retired they moved to Myrtle Beach and enjoyed a quiet life away from the hustle and bustle of NY. Not long after her sister moved to Myrtle Beach as well. After Walter's passing she and her sister moved to Raleigh NC where she lived her final years near family.
Lillian is preceded in death by her mother Katherine Rosa, her husband Walter Hunger, brothers Karl and Georg sister Kay and nephew David Graf.
Graveside service will be held at Montlawn Memorial Park on Thursday April 10, 2025 at 2:00.
