Lillian Aurelia Temples Johnson passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 15,2026 at the age of 95. She was born in Early County Georgia on July 26, 1930, where she grew up and lived most of her life.

Lillian is survived by 4 children; Donna Braswell (Alan), Kenneth Johnson (Genia), Sara Tapp Malsberger (Tim) and Doug Johnson (Andrea) all residing in Blakely, GA.
She had 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, all of whom she dearly loved.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Johnson, two grandsons, Justin Tapp and Joey Tapp, her parents, Glen Wooten Temples and Nezella Chandler Temples and her six siblings, Mildred Garrett, Fannie Bell Weeks, Carlton Temples, Horace Temples, Troy Temples and Don Temples.

Mrs. Lillian and Mr. Huey owned and operated the Blakely Freezer Locker where they proudly served the public, working side by side until their retirement.
Lillian kept herself busy in the following years with various jobs and hobbies, working at Gray Jewelers, checking boll weevil traps and hunting deer and arrowheads with Huey, but her favorite, was when she was well into her 80's she would say with a wink and a smile: "I sit with Old People".

Lillian was a faithful Christian who served in many churches during her lifetime. She was often heard saying "I have had a good life and God has been good to me. I just love living!" She was presently a member of the First Baptist Church in Blakely, GA.

Friends and family will gather for funeral services at the First Baptist Church on Tuesday, January 20th at 3:00 PM. Visitation will be Monday, January 19th at Manry- Jordan-Hodges Funeral home from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are her nephews; Harold Garrett, Owen "Bubba" Weeks Jr., Bruce Lionel Temples, Craig Temples, Keith Adkison, Jacky Temples, and Bruce Temples, Keith Garrett. Honorary pall bearers are Ron Temples, and her favorite nieces.

Arrangements are entrusted to Manry-Jordan-Hodges funeral home.

The family would also like to thank Dr. Garrett Bennett and the staff of Miller Nursing Home for taking such good and loving care of "Miss Lilli" for the past 5 years.
