Lillian Jeanette Glenn McCoig, age 90, of Laurens, widow of Thomas C. McCoig, passed away, Monday, October 13, 2025 at NHC of Clinton.
She was born June 17, 1935 in Clinton, SC, and was the daughter of the late James William and Ella Bee Goss Glenn. Jeanette dedicated much of her life caring for others, working as a Cottage Parent at Whitten Center and serving as a foster grandparent at E.B. Morse. Her most recent job was as an “NHC greeter”. She was a faithful member of The First “A Pentecostal Fellowship.”
She is survived by her daughters, Judy Kelly of Belton, and Carolyn Thorne of Covington, GA; her grandchildren, Jenny Lynn McCoig, Caroline McCoig Barnard, Julie Kelly, John Eric Langston (Erin), Shannon L Riddle (Jason), Crystal Broughton and Jimmy Broughton; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Jeanette was preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Langston; her grandchild, Billie Jo Russell; her siblings, James Glenn, Thomas Glenn, Earl Glenn, Katherine Reid, Frances Burton, and Juanita Miskenko.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at The First “A Pentecostal Fellowship” with Pastor James Owens and Pastor Norman Black officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 PM at the Church.
