Lillian Katherine Arendt Richardson

Lillian Katherine Arendt Richardson, age 97, entered peacefully into eternal rest at home on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Lillian was born in Algiers, LA on July 22, 1925 to the late John Arendt and the late Lillian E. Arendt. She was the wife of the late U.S. Navy Senior Master Chief Petty Officer August P. Richardson Sr., whom she loved traveling with. Lillian was the mother of 5 children, August P. Richardson, Jr., Jeanne Fitzgerald (Bob), Michael Richardson (Jo Ella), Pamela Douglass, and Charles Richardson (Myong Hui). She is survived by her 9 grandchildren, Tina Flach, Paul Fitzgerald (Tracy), Jennifer Lambert (Cory), Travis Richardson (Janette), Dale Richardson, Nicole Rebstock (Jay), Shannon Boquet, Brandon Douglass, and Steve Douglas (Noelle). She was the loving great-grandmother to 16 great-grandchildren; great great-grandmother to 6 great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two of her grandchildren Charles Richardson, Jr., and Shane Richardson; one great grandson Brian Boudreaux, and her siblings Myrtle Richardson (the late Frederick) and John Arendt. She loved her family dearly. Lillian loved flowers, crawfish boils, working in the yard, crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, playing card games, and making puzzles. She loved to read and crochet. She was a wonderful nurturing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother and will be missed by all. Friends and family are invited to attend a funeral service on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at 1:30PM in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expressway, in Harvey, LA. Visitation will begin at 11:30AM. Interment will follow immediately at Westlawn Memorial Park, 1225 Whitney Ave., in Gretna, LA.
