Lillian Pearl Simmons Riddle, 89, of Spartanburg, passed away on Sunday morning, February 22, 2026. Lillian was born on May 5, 1936, in Spartanburg, SC, a daughter of the late Hattie Pearl Dobson Simmons and James Cyrus Simmons. She was married to the late Samuel Riddle.
Lillian was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church. She retired from Springs Industries and also worked for many years at Raycord.
Surviving are her nieces, Teresa Simmons Thompson and Connie Simmons Wilson (Lamar); and numerous great-nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Along with her husband and parents, Lillian was predeceased by her brothers, Hugh Simmons (Ann), Herbert Simmons (Nellie), and Albert Simmons (Gayle).
A graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 27, 2026, at Fairforest Baptist Church Cemetery, 115 Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301, conducted by the Reverend Dr. James C. Hilton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Fairforest Baptist Church 115 Church Street, Spartanburg, SC 29301 or to Spartanburg Humane Society, 150 Dexter Road, Spartanburg, SC 29303.
