Interment: Los Gatos Memorial Park, San Jose, CA
Lillian May Sidlow, 93, of Sun City West, Arizona, died on February 13, 2024, in San Jose.

Lillian was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on September 15, 1930. She married Homer Sidlow, on December 23, 1951, just before he departed for service in the Korean War.

She began a career in nursing after graduating from the Western Reserve University nursing program at Mt. Sinai Hospital in Cleveland in 1953. She earned her RN from the Michigan Board of Nursing in 1955.

In 1964, Lillian and her family settled in Orinda, California, where she and Homer raised four children. Once the kids were in school, she worked alongside her husband at his law offices in Concord and San Leandro as a legal assistant. Her dedication to her family and her commitment to her work were hallmarks of her character.

In 1992, Lillian and Homer moved to Sun City West, Arizona, where they embraced retirement and built lasting friendships and cherished memories for nearly three decades. They shared 51 years of marriage before Homer's death in 2003.

An avid player of Canasta and Mahjong, Lillian enjoyed traveling, spending time with her friends and family, and volunteering at Del Webb Hospital and for the telephone reassurance service. Her caring and loving personality endeared her to all who knew her, and her gentle spirit touched the lives of many.

Lillian leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, cherished by her four children, Faith, Beth, Brian and Mark; six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and her memory will be a source of comfort and inspiration for years to come.

We will never forget her kindness, compassion, and unwavering love for her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 19 at Los Gatos Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bonita Springs Hospice Care in Gilroy to which the family is extremely grateful for their help and support.
