Mrs. Lillian C. (Meninno) Trapasso, age 83, of Lynn, died on Friday August 10, 2012 in a local nursing home, after a lengthy illness. She was the wife of the late Philip L. Trapasso. A lifelong resident of Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Nicholina Meninno. Lillian was a graduate of Lynn Classical High School. Upon graduation from high school, Lillian and her sister Theresa owned and operated the Artistic Beauty Salon in Lynn. Lillian had worked as a manager for the MA Department of Revenue for over twenty years. She retired in 1991. For many years, Lillian was an active member of the Damien Club, the Chatterbox Club, and of Our Lady of the Assumption Sodality. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, cooking, knitting, golfing, and bowling. Lillian loved the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by four children Philip S. Trapasso, of Eaton Center, NH, Annette M. Maazaoui and her husband Abbes, of Wilmington, DE, Elizabeth L. Gaeta and her husband Charles, of Lynn, and Joanne L. Diamantides and her husband George, of Lynn, six grandchildren Heidi Dias and her husband Josh, Nina, Rachelle, and Philip Trapasso, and Charles and Christopher Gaeta, three great grandchildren Lola, Domenic, and Santino Dias, a brother A. Nicholas Meninno, of Lynnfield, a sister Gloria Santangelo and her husband Fred, of Lynnfield, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Theresa Ballerini. Her Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11am from the Solimine Landergan and Richardson Funeral Home 426 Broadway (RTE129), Lynn, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12pm in Our Lady of the Assumption Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hour's Monday 4pm-8pm. Donations in her memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association 311 Arsenal Street Watertown, MA 02472.
