Lillie Mae Green-Hunt, affectionately known by her siblings as "Sister," was born June 4, 1940, in Elena, Arkansas, to parents, Lunnie Rush and George Ella Berry. She grew up in Osawatomie, Kansas, with her parents Johnny Ewing and George Ella Ewing, before moving to Rochester, New York at the age of 14. Lillie attended Madison High School, where she met and later married John Amos Green Sr. (deceased 1987). Together, they became the proud parents of eight children.
At the age of 24, Lillie was baptized and devoted her life to God at Power House Church of God in Christ. She was a multi- talented woman, working as a beautician, a Licensed Practical Nurse, and later retiring as a Computer Lab Technician from the Rochester City School District. She also took a catechism class, the study of the Bible, with her mother and received recognition together. As the First Lady and piano player at her husband's church, Full Gospel Fellowship, Lillie also played for the family gospel group, the Green Family. She pursued her passion for music by studying piano at the esteemed Eastman School of Music.
Lillie found great joy in cooking, creating her own recipes, reading, and connecting with nature and animals. She had a joyful spirit, a contagious laugh, and a deep love for family and friends. As the matriarch and backbone of the family, she instilled in everyone the importance of loving God and putting Him first. Lillie's courage and wisdom guided her family and friends through life's challenges, and she was always the one to turn to for advice and support. Her legacy of faith, love, and strength will forever remain with those who knew her.
At the age of 72, Lillie married Mr. Cleveland Hunt Sr., with whom she shared 13+ wonderful years of marriage. If she could leave one final message to her loved ones, it would be to **SERVE GOD** and remember, you are magnificently and wonderfully created in the image of God.
Lillie Mae Green-Hunt is survived by her loving husband, Cleveland Hunt Sr., and her six children: John Amos Green Jr., Lester Craig Green (Cynthia Hamilton-Green), Troy Covay Green, Pamela Denise Gilkes (Kenneth Gilkes), Felicia Ann Green-Buice (Henry Buice), and Valerie Lynn Green. She is preceded in death by her children Donald Ray Green and Geraldine Clark. Lillie was a cherished grandmother to 18 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 28 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her five siblings: Peggy Ewing, Debra Ewing, Johnny Ewing III, Georgetta Ewing, and Sarah Morrison (Jerome Morrison), as well as stepchildren, friends, cousins, and a host of loved ones.

Grandma Lillie was such an amazing person. Losing her hurts badly but I know that she is in Heaven with a big smile on her face. I´m going to miss her laugh, her stories, everything about her. She was truly an angel and I will always love her unconditionally. I can´t wait to see her again one day. She lived a long and amazing life.
