Lillie Day Sheriff, 100, wife of the late Charles Exodus Sheriff, of Easley, passed away Monday, December 9, 2024.
Born in Easley, she was a daughter of the late Warren Butler and Laura Gilstrap Day.
Mrs. Sheriff was family-focused and truly enjoyed the simple things in life. She was also a lifetime member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
Mrs. Sheriff is survived by her daughter, Laura Sheriff Cromer of Easley; her grandchildren, Justin Cromer (Angela) and Kelly McClatchy (Michael); her great-grandchildren, Lela and Henry Cromer, Samuel and Audrey Reece, and Tyler (Hope), Jared, and Olivia McClatchy; and her great-great-grandchild, Gabriel McClatchy. She is also survived by her caregiver and special friend, Brenda Garrett.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wade Cromer, Jr.; brothers, Rufus, Joe, Ben, and Walter Day; and sisters, Nell Labes, Fay Few, and Mae Sheriff.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at Rock Springs Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Friday, December 13, 2024 at the church.
