LILLIE MAE WILLIAMS WATTS was born the second child to Dorothy Jean Ross Williams and Eddie James Williams on November 14, 1951, in Prentiss, Mississippi. At an early age, due to illness and the death of her mother, the family moved from Prentiss, Mississippi, to Brookhaven, Mississippi, to live with their grandmother. Lillie's early years in Brookhaven included joining her grandmother's church and attending Alexander Elementary, Middle, and High School. After graduating, Lillie attended Prentiss Industrial Institute in Prentiss, Mississippi for two years before continuing her education at Mississippi Valley State University. On July 28, 1973, Lillie married Larry Dale Watts, and the union raised a daughter and a son. Lillie and Larry changed their individual church membership to join The Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in Pascagoula, Mississippi. Lillie started her career teaching at East Park Elementary School in Moss Point, Mississippi. In 1981, she and her husband, Larry, leased and operated Watts Spur Station on the corner of Pascagoula Street and U. S. Hwy 90. As a result of her education and committed profession as an entrepreneur, Lillie was hired by Walmart to their Management Department. In 1992, Lille joined her husband Larry in his service to Cub and Boy Scouts of America. Her first assignment was to serve as the Tiger Cub Den Leader for Troop 476 Charter granted to the Church Of Christ by Boy Scouts of America. In 2018 Lillie retired from Walmart after working 31 years. She continued working and serving Cub Scouts of America until her death. August 9, 2025, Lillie transitioned to her Heavenly home. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Eddie Wlliams, six brothers-in-law, and seven sisters-in-law. Lillie leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Larry Dale Watts, daughter Zsaquez (Nathaniel) Love, son Darrius (Lacey) Harris, five grandchildren Sen'derrick Beverly, Isaac Love, Noah Harris, Avalynn Harris, and Apollo Harris, sister Mary (Johnny) Robinson, brothers Claude Williams and Derry Bernant, brother-in-law Harry Bardale Watts, sisters-in-law Shirley Graves, Deloris Berhalter, and Lee (Goldsmith) Price and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
