Born January 9, 1941, in Bamberg, SC, she was the daughter of the late Floyd A. and Daisy Dodd Proveaux and wife of the late Charles D. Blume. Lily retired from Joye Law Firm. She enjoyed tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, cooking, reading, family gatherings during the holidays in Bamberg at the social hall, shopping, listening to Tony Joe White, coffee and chocolate. She especially loved spending time with her great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Johnny Blume of Bamberg and Charlene Blume of Moncks Corner; grandchildren, Jimmy Blume, Sarah (Thomas III) Bone, Hannah (JR) Thigpen; and her 6 great-grandchildren, Riley Hall, Callie Hall, Thomas Bone IV, Ellorie Gray, Harper Gray and Rowdy Bone; siblings, Gail (Arlie) O'Dell, Winston (Darlene) Proveaux and brother-in-laws, Jeffrey Snyder and Bobby Blume.
Besides her parents and husband, she is predeceased by sister Wanda Snyder and brother-in-laws, Gary Curtis and James Blume.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 11:00am at the Summerville Baptist Church in Summerville, South Carolina.
