Linda Beatrice Norris passed away October 11, 2024. She was born July 1, 1950, in Twin Falls, Idaho, to Everett and Barbara Norris. She was the oldest of three children and grew up on the family farm in Hansen, graduating from Hansen High School in 1968. Linda continued her education at Idaho State University in Idaho Falls before eventually returning to Jerome to be closer to her family.
Linda married Lyle Adams on May 20, 1977, and had two sons, Mathias and Caleb Adams. Lyle and Linda would later divorce in 1988.
Linda served as an administrative assistant in the Jerome School District for most of her career, first in the Special Education department, and then the Superintendent’s office where she worked as the District Clerk until her retirement in 2012. She made many life-long friends while working there and her passion and dedication to the school were an important part of who she was.
Linda raised two sons and did whatever was needed no matter how difficult. She was also dedicated to her family and friends. She would also help take care of her extended family members and enjoyed taking her grandson, Jayson, along on weekly visits to her father’s house. She loved her grandchildren more than anything.
In addition to caring for family, Linda enjoyed her many animals who were her constant companions.
Linda loved antiques and restoring old furniture. Her favorite hobby was attending yard sales and estate auctions looking for unique and interesting pieces. She was very active and enjoyed attending weekly exercise classes as well as taking her dogs on their daily walks.
Linda is survived by her sister, Susan O’Donnell; two sons, Mathias (Emily) and Caleb Adams; and two grandchildren Jayson Small-Adams and Abigail Adams.
Linda was preceded in death by her paternal great grandparents, Quincy and Clara Norris; parents, Everett and Barbara Norris; and her brother, Marvin Norris.
A Celebration of Life honoring Linda will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, November 1, 2024, at Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1301 N Davis St, Jerome.
