Linda Jane "Janie" Adams, 77, of Winchester, IL, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2025. She was born on May 27, 1948, to Harvey Howard Moore and Clara Luetta (Hepworth) Moore of Alsey, IL. She was the oldest of five children: Ronald Moore (Sandy) of Alsey, Cathy Dolen (Randy) of Winchester, Carolyn Boester (Kenneth) of Winchester, and a brother Daniel Ray Moore who passed at birth. She went to school at Alsey Grade School then graduated from Winchester High School in 1966. She worked as an administrative assistant for WincoPak in Winchester, John Deere Life Insurance and Verizon both of Jacksonville, and as a teacher's aide at Winchester Grade School before retiring. She married Norvin Lee Adams, Jr., on November 24, 1973. He preceded her in death on August 22, 2014. They had two sons: Norvin Lee Adams III of Winchester, and Clifton "Ky" Michael Adams (Sara Ann) of Miltonvale, KS. She was a proud and loving Grandma to Gatlin Xavier, Harper Ellise, Hudson Maxwel, and Bayler Grayce Adams. Janie was a hard worker and a friend to all. She had a kind, gentle heart and would help anyone she possibly could. She loved to be outdoors gardening. She also loved rummaging at yard sales and auctions with friends. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester with interment in the Winchester City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Alsey Baptist Church. Condolences may be left online at dawsfuneralhome.com
