Linda Aleman, 69, of Kanawha, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2025, at her home in Kanawha.

Memorial services for Linda Aleman will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Kanawha Lutheran Church, 125 West Fourth Street, in Kanawha.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.

Linda Sue (Grimm) Aleman, daughter of Thomas Grimm and Patricia Brower-Grimm, was born on August 7, 1956, in Belmond, Iowa. She grew up in Kanawha and graduated from Kanawha High School with the Class of 1974. During her high school years, Linda was crowned Homecoming Queen for the Kanawha Bulldogs - a reflection of her warmth and kindness.

After high school, Linda continued her education at the University of Northern Iowa. She later moved to Chicago, where she worked for Anderson's Accounting. In 1980, she was united in marriage to Joseph Aleman. The couple later returned to Kanawha to raise their family. Though they later divorced, the couple remained friends. While Linda was raising her family, she attended night school at Buena Vista University and obtained her accounting degree.

Linda worked at the Original Saw Company in Britt and later at Global Processing before retiring. She was known for her creativity and artistic spirit. Linda had a deep love for music and dancing, and she especially enjoyed watching her flowers bloom - even if she was known to overwater them from time to time.

She lived by the Golden Rule and was a true friend to all who knew her. Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, her sense of humor, and her unwavering love for her family - especially her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

She is survived by her children Alyssa (Adrian Bilborough) Aleman of Des Moines, Joshua Aleman of Kanawha, Charlie Aleman of Kanawha and Alexa (Patrick Peterson) Lodin of Vincent, her seven grandchildren, Emma (Jake Wood) Faust, Addison Aleman, Sofia Lodin, Silas Bilsborough, Elliot Bilsborough, Theodore Lodin and Henry Lodin; her mother Patricia Sampson; her step mother Sandra Grimm; her siblings Kathryn Stinson, Michael Sampson, Julie Spangler, Jonathan Sampson, Thomas E. Grimm and Chad Grimm; along with many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Walter and Iola Grimm, maternal grandparents Charles and Viola Brower, Father Thomas Grimm, and sisters-in-law Melody Aleman and Linda Aleman.

My Beautiful buddy for 50 years. Time may have passed, the visits were few, yet we were always together in thought. You lived the end of your life as you wanted. At home with your family. One could not ask for more. Sadly, our trip this November was not to be, but just maybe your spirit will ride shotgun with me on the 17th. In spirit, you will see the Colorado Mountains, Wildlife, Beautiful Clouds, and my pets. Sending a puff of smoke your way. Love Ya Linda Sue
