Share your Memorial with Family & Friends Linda Joyce Auth, 76, peacefully passed away surrounded by family at home on Monday February 3, 2025, after battling Alzheimer's. Linda was born July 21, 1948, in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada to Walter and Kathleen Shone.
Linda spent her early years in the London area of Ontario before her family relocated to Marathon Key, FL. It was there, amidst the sun-drenched shores and blue waters, that she developed a deep love for the beach and the natural beauty surrounding her. Growing up in a creative family, Linda discovered and mastered her own artistic talents, including drawing, sewing, and crafting. Her creativity shone through in every facet of her life, leaving a touch of beauty wherever she went. No matter the size of the space, Linda had a remarkable ability to make it cozy and comfortable, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all.
In 1970 Linda married the love of her life, Robert Auth. Together, they embarked on the fulfilling, yet challenging, journey of raising a family. They settled in Gautier, Mississippi, where they lovingly nurtured their four children: Cheryl, Bobby, Melody, and Timothy. Linda was fiercely proud of each and every one of her children.
Linda was a dedicated and devoted mother, placing her family above all else. She instilled the importance of responsibility in her children, but always balanced it with a spirit of fun and adventure. She delighted in playing games, organizing picnics, engaging in crafts, teaching, and tending to her gardens. Her green thumb extended to her vibrant flowers and plants, which brought her immense joy. Trips to the beach were a cherished pastime, where she and her family would search for seashells and lucky beans, creating lasting memories. She also held a special place in her heart for Niagara Falls, often reminiscing about its majestic beauty. She loved to share stories of her experiences and adventures, including her exciting motorcycle trips, captivating her listeners with her endless tales. She was incredibly crafty, with an uncanny ability to fix or make just about anything. Her resourcefulness and skill were a true testament to her creativity.
Linda's favorite color was red, reflecting her vibrant personality. Among her favorite songs was "Oh Canada!" which highlighted her love for her home country. Her warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, friendship and cherished moments that will forever be treasured.
In lieu of Flowers, please donate to Alzheimer's Association. Per Linda's request, a special service will be held in Canada with close family at a later date. Linda is survived by her children: Cheryl Hyde, Melbourne, FL; Robert (Bobby) Auth Jr., Melbourne, FL; Melody (Christopher) Finn, Ontario, Canada; and Timothy Auth, Melbourne, FL; her grandchildren: Natalie (Jacob) Wheeler, Jasmine Hyde, Philip Hyde, Fallon Jenne, Danger Vickers, Lauren Finn, Gavin Finn, and Zane Auth; and her great-grandchildren: Braxton Aguilar and Lincoln Wheeler; and many other cherished friends and family members.
