Linda Dawn Bainey

Mrs. Linda Dawn Baughman Bainey of Nub Garland Road, Toccoa entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior at age 65, surrounded by her family on Monday, March 30, 2026.

A daughter of the late Stacey William Baughman and Clara Ruth Kephart Baughman, she was born April 19, 1960 in Philipsburg, PA. She graduated from Philipsburg High School and married Roy Milton Bainey in Osceola Mills, PA in 1978. In 1994 she moved to Toccoa where she served as an assistant to the registrar for 26 years at Toccoa Falls College. She loved cooking and baking, and loved to shop. She was known to to have a servant's heart, and she did whatever was needed at any time. She loved her family and loved teaching her grandchildren, reminding them, "Remember all the things I have taught you." She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where her husband has served as pastor for 30 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Brian Baughman and Rev. Charles Kephart.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Rev. Roy Bainey, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law Amanda and Justin Sharrett of Buford, Georgia; daughter Jackie Krock of Auburn, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Adam and Kathleen Bainey of St. Petersburg, Florida; grandchildren Anniston Bainey, Makayla Krock, Peyton Sharrett, Micah Krock, Avery Grace Sharrett, Reagan Krock and Presley Kate Sharrett; brothers Harry Baughtman, Greg Baughman, Gary Baughman, and Alan Baughman; and sister Cheryl George.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 4, 2026, 11 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church with the Reverend Tony Gray officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Terrell Dean, Jack Catlin, Gary Baughman, Mike Bainey, Greg Baughman, Keith Blake, Jalyn Barnett, and Cody Cobb.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Friday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.

Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, 1095 Ayersville, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mrs. Linda Bainey.

Interment will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Linda Dawn Baughman Bainey.
