Linda Sue (Shepherd) Bennett, 80, of Adairsville, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024. She was born in Gordon County on May 25, 1944, to the late Sherman Shepherd and Mildred Mitchell Colquitt. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009, Jerry Doyle Bennett; her son, Jeff Bennett; her daddy, Henry Colquitt; brothers, Mike and Mitchell Colquitt; grandchildren, Blake Bennett and Isaak Ramos.
Linda owned Linda B’s Antique Mall and was retired from Shaw Industries.
Linda is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Dwayne and Laura Bennett, Brian and Cammy Bennett, Brent and Consequela Bennett; sister, Leah Colquitt Lacey and her husband, Tommy; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 1:00 PM from the Chapel of Max Brannon and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Brannon and Rev. Sawyer Springfield. Burial will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers are Greg Samples, Dave Pass, Chadd Bishop, Chad Floyd, Adam Bennett, and Ira Purkey. Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Jackson, Randall Jackson, Ronald Stevens, Bill Smith, Tommy Lacey, and Terry Rieffer.
