Linda L. Bentley, age 81 of Crawfordsville, passed away on November 11, 2024 at Franciscan Health Lafayette. She was born on October 23, 1943 to Maurice and Violetta (Banta) Christie in Crawfordsville. Linda married her high school sweetheart, Gary Bentley, on September 13, 1968 at Woodland Heights Church.
She was a graduate of Crawfordsville High School, Class of 1962. Linda retired from Walmart Optical in 2015, after 17 years as a polisher. She attended services at Whitesville Christian Church. Linda loved spending time with her family and camping at Sugar Mill Lake.
Linda is survived by her husband of 56 loving years, Gary; sons, Matt (Sherri) Bentley and Chris (Angela) Bentley; grandchildren, Gage Bentley, Isabella Bentley and Elyssa (Peyton) Long; and great grandchildren, Sophie and Liam Long. She is preceded by her parents and sister, Judy Jones.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, November 18, 2024 from 4-6 pm at Sanders Funeral Care, 315 S Washington Street in Crawfordsville, followed by a service at 6 pm with Pastor Mike Whitacre officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Animal Welfare League of Montgomery County, 1104 Big Four Arch Road, Crawfordsville, IN 47933.
