Linda Bond Obituary

Linda M. Bond
Linda M. Bond, 78, passed away on January 31, 2026 after courageously battling cancer for many years. She was the beloved wife of Wayne M. Bond for 41 years.
Linda was born in Waterbury on September 20, 1947, daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Cimino) Spadola. She was a graduate of Quinnipiac University and worked for many years as a receptionist for Nonnewaug High School.
Linda had a special love of all dogs, especially her morkie, Stella. She enjoyed cooking and barbecuing for friends and family, and cherished quiet moments spent watching the blue birds and hummingbirds. Most of all, Linda was dedicated to her family, whom she loved beyond words.
Including her husband, Wayne, she leaves behind her children, Kristen Gillette, and her husband, Mark; Douglas Bond, and his wife, Amy; and Evan Bond; her grandchildren, Rebecca Lamoin, Kelly Maldonado, and her husband, Jonathon, Tyler Bond, and Julia Bond; her nieces, Carla Larocque, and Gina Vincenzi; and many close extended family members and friends.
She was predeceased by her siblings, Jane Serra and Joseph Spadola.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, February 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Lyons Funeral Home, 46 High Street, Thomaston. A funeral home service will be held at noon. Burial will be held at a later date.

I went to school with Linda during the age of dinosaurs. I will miss her warmth and laughter. I wish I lived closer so I could be a part of her life throughout the many years that seemed to fly by. I'll meet you in heaven, Linda. Save a seat for me!

I was very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. We were classmates both in St. Francis and Naugatuck High School. She was always so cheerful. My sympathy to her family as I know they are missing her very much at this time. May she deservedly rest in peace..

This is sad news. I got to know Linda when we worked at Brandywine. We found that we knew a lot of the same people from the area and from her Uniroyal days. She was a straight shooter and super cool. Even in her 70s she was working on her Excel skills with me to up her spreadsheet game. People don't live forever, but she would've been a nice exception. Rest in peace lady.
