Linda Carol Burger (88), of West Chester, Ohio passed away on October 30, 2025.
Born in Elwood, Indiana on September 9, 1937, she spent her early childhood in Indiana before moving to Southern Ohio and graduating from Williamsburg High School in 1955. She worked at Western & Southern Life prior to her marriage to the late Frank Edwin Burger in 1960. From there, she raised her family and volunteered her time at several churches, schools and community activities, as well as a candy striper for local hospitals.
Linda is survived by her son Steve (Diana) of Johns Creek, Georgia, daughter Joan Holt (Terry) of Hamilton, Ohio and two granddaughters, Jacki Drexler (Alex) of Chicago, Illinois and Samantha Burger of Johns Creek, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents Lindell Kenneth Hughes and Margaret Dever Hughes, as well as five siblings, Verna Doretha Rodgers, Kenneth Richard Hughes, Marietta Mae Goins, Robert Danny Hughes and John L. Hughes.
After raising her children, Linda took up the game of golf. She and her husband Frank retired to Greensboro, Georgia where they were able to spend many years golfing year-round and traveling on golf outings with friends. She also organized many local golf events, participated in local volunteer organizations and enjoyed spending time with her family.
A visitation will be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 6410 Cincinnati-Dayton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio 45044 on Friday, November 14, 2025 from 10:30am until time of memorial service at 11am.
