Galena Faye Moore

Mrs. Galena Faye Moore, age 68, of Vevay, Indiana, entered this life on August 17, 1956 in Williamsburg, Kentucky. She was the daughter of the late John William and Carrie Lee (Jones) Moore. She was raised in Williamsburg, Kentucky and graduated from Williamsburg High School. Galena was united in marriage to Richard F. Abel in 1997 in Newport, Kentucky. Galena was a former waitress for Country Kitchen Restaurant in Norwood, Ohio. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and sudoku puzzles, as well as, spending time with her family. Galena passed away at 4:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at Swiss Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Vevay, Indiana.
Galena is survived by her husband, Richard F. Abel of Vevay, IN; her daughter, Lela Sellers and her companion, Justice Munoz of Cincinnati, OH; her son, Bobby Sellers and his companion, Linda Harrison of Hamilton, OH; her grandchildren, Lorraine (James), Joshua, Hailey, Daniel, Caleb, Austin, and Destiny; her great-granddaughter, Kyrie; her sister, Julia Elizabeth "Liz" Bailey; her brother, James Franklin Moore and his wife, Sharon; and her nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, John William Moore; her mother, Carrie Lee (Jones) Moore; her son, Johnny Sellers; her grandson, Daniel Sellers Henges; her sisters, Nola Vest, Mary Hollars, Zora Dyas, Barbara Goins, Anna Mae Peace, and Lorraine Moore; and her brothers, Roy Moore and Jesse Bill "JB" Moore.
Memorial Gathering will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
Memorial Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 8, 2025, by Pastor Steve Moore, at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street, Vevay, Indiana 47043.
