Linda Jane Camby, 83, of White Oak Estate, Spartanburg, SC, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family Saturday, October 11, 2025, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Formerly of Blacksburg, she was married to the late William Cecil Walker and to the late Charles Eugene Camby.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Linda Joyce Walker of Spartanburg, sisters Matilda Hamrick of Shelby, NC, Helen Tipton of Burnsville, NC, Elaine Dobbins (Donald) of Shelby, NC and a brother, Steve Padgett of Greenville, SC.
In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Dora Padgett, siblings Ruth Willis, Fay Padgett, Howard Padgett and Rush Padgett.
She was a member of First Baptist Church Blacksburg, active in Iron City Ministries, and enjoyed being involved in any special events at the church or in town.
Memorials may be made to the Men on Mission, c/o Beaver Dam Baptist Church, 123 Beaver Dam Church Rd., Shelby, NC 28152.
A receiving of friends and family will be held Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 1:30 - 2 at Beaver Dam Baptist Church, with Rev. Tom Runyon officiating. A private burial will follow.
