Linda Awbrey Caypless

Memorial services for Linda Awbrey Caypless, age 70, of Roanoke will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church with Bro. John Saunders officiating.

The family will receive friends at the church after services conclude on Saturday.

Mrs. Caypless passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, at her home.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Caypless (Tonya) of Wadley and Kevin Caypless (Dana) of Opelika; four grandchildren, Mallory Caypless, Matthew Caypless (Hannah), Anna Grace Caypless and Wyatt Caypless; and two sisters, Lynn Braun of Newportbury, Mass., and Lisa Woodard of Montgomery.

A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Caypless was born on November 12, 1954, the daughter of Thomas Lewis and Rebecca Phillips Awbrey. Mrs. Caypless was Christian by faith and was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Roanoke. She was an RN, having worked at West Georgia Medical Center, Randolph Co. Hospital, and East Alabama Medical Center before retiring. Mrs. Caypless treasured her family and enjoyed crocheting and painting in her free time. She was preceded in death by her parents; and an infant brother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105
