Don,
I never realized the actual day that Linda passed. The day after Christmas. How hard that must have been on you and your family. I have recently lost my husband to the same battle. Christmas day it will be a year and 3 months. Most of the time I feel I'm at peace with it because, he's at peace, but other times I feel completely lost. I try to stay positive and realize we all will end up in the same place one day or another. It's unfortunate our loved ones have to go when the Lord decides. I'm wishing you Peaceful Holidays and that you're surrounded by all your loved ones. I think of Linda often and how you must have felt watching her fight that battle because I did the same thing. It hurts knowing what they went through.

My husband and I were just talking about you this past weekend..
how we used to run into you and Linda at the casino all the time.
I thought about her fighting that courageous battle many times and often wondered how she was. I'm so sorry and saddened to hear she lost her battle, but she is at peace and at the hands of God watching over you and the family. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

I really wish I could put into words what I am feeling and how much your family and Linda mean to me. All of you helped to make my transition into college and life in Buffalo so easy. From Sunday dinners to spending endless time with your family, I have shared so many memories with all of you. Linda was an angel, one of the people in this world who proved on a daily basis, to be truly selfless. Notwithstanding her beautiful smile and her heart of gold, she will be missed tremendously. I wish I could be with all of you during this time and it pains me that I am unable to celebrate her life with all of you. Please know that the thoughts and prayers of myself and my family are with all of you. If anything can bring you comfort at this point in time, it should be knowing that she is at peace.
