Linda Davies Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Holt Memorial Chapel - Harrison on Dec. 17, 2025.
Linda Diane Davies, 79, of Harrison, passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at her home in Harrison.
Ms. Davies was born May 18, 1946, at Hot Springs to Arthur Andrew and Doris Catherine Hardage Polk. She spent most of her childhood in Hot Springs before moving with her family to Southern California, where she lived for many years. In later years, she returned to Arkansas with her granddaughter and made her home with her daughter, who cared for her.
She worked as an administrative assistant for various medical equipment companies. Linda loved Elvis, crafting, watching birds from her porch, and listening to windchimes. When she was able, she enjoyed being outdoors with her family. She was especially proud of her two great-grandsons, Atom and Gage, for their involvement in extracurricular activities. Atom is active in sports and music, and Gage is a member of the Boy Scouts of America. Linda had a sense of humor uniquely her own, for instance; she has always hated the McRib sandwich from McDonalds, but each year she needed to get one to try, just to make sure she still hated it. She also loved her family above all else. In her later years, she developed a fondness for clocks, collecting any that caught her eye, and she also loved rainbows; something immediately evident to anyone who visited her home. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Michael Davies Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Marlette and partner Todd Sykes, of Harrison; two grandchildren, Brittany (Eric) Vandegrift, of Harrison, and Sean Marlette and partner Julia Dolan, of Virginia; four great-grandchildren, Atom and Gage Finkenkeller, both of Harrison, Samantha Marlette, and step-granddaughter Momo Dolan, both of Virginia; her best friend, Yvonne Davis, and her three children, Darius, Ramon, and Adrian, and their children; her favorite cousin and childhood best friend, Mitchell Hoggard and his family; and a host of other family members and friends whom she loved deeply.
There are no services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Holt Memorial Chapel.
