Published by Legacy on Nov. 5, 2025.
Linda L. DeFosse, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on September 13, 1941, in Milton, Indiana, she was the daughter of Johnie and Eileen (nee Dice) Locke. Linda's legacy is one of love and devotion to family, a quality that shone brightly throughout her life.
A dedicated postal worker, Linda contributed over 20 years of service at the US Post Office's Bulk Center. Her work ethic and commitment to her job mirrored her deep sense of responsibility and care for her community. Outside of her professional life, Linda had a zest for life-she loved trying her luck at the casino slot machines and was a passionate fan of sports, especially cheering on the Cincinnati Reds.
Linda cherished her family above all else. Whether near or far, her greatest joy came from the moments spent with her loved ones. She was a loving mother of her sons: Lawrence "Larry" and John A. Radenheimer; 14 cherished grandchildren: James, Amanda, Ashley, Heather Radenheimer, Jennifer Moore, Kenneth Smith, Jeffery Focke, Sarah Hardman, Eric Hodge, Robert "Blake" Fowler and Valarie Wallen; 42 Great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was also survived by her siblings: Josephine Kraus and Richard Locke and many nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her children: Harry Radenheimer and LeeAnn Caldwell; parents: Johnie and Eileen (Dice) Locke; siblings: Christina O'Bryant and James Locke; grandchildren: Stacey Radenheimer, Christian Caldwell, and Johnie Slayten.
A graveside service to honor Linda's life will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 1 PM at Holy Guardian Angels Catholic Cemetery in Cedar Grove, Indiana.
