Robert Edmond Traylor

Robert E. Traylor, age 77 years, passed away at his home in Fairfield, OH on Friday morning, November 7, 2025. Mr. Traylor, served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and received VMCJ 1 Unit Citations in Da Nang. He was a Volunteer fireman for the Miller-York Fire Department while living in Guilford, Indiana. He enjoyed putting together jigsaw puzzles with his family and friend, Sam. He was a longtime member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. Robert enjoyed deer hunting and was an avid runner, participating in 30 marathons after the age of 43 and joined the running group "Sweaty 7 Runners." Beloved husband of Darlene Ridout Traylor for 58 years. Dear father of David (Fabiana) Traylor and James Traylor. Loving grandfather of David and Desmond Traylor. Devoted brother of the late Frank Traylor and brother in law of Kathy Traylor and Gloria McDowell. Dear uncle of Shelli (Leroy) Arvin, Katie (Chris) Zeinner and Ron (Jen) McDowell. Visitation will be held at John Wesley United Methodist Church, 1927 W. Kemper Road, Cincinnati, OH 45240 on Wednesday, November 12 from 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 Noon. The service will be streamed live on Facebook under the "John Wesley UMC-Cincinnati" Facebook page at 12 noon on Wednesday. Burial will be held at Dayton National Cemetery with military honors on Tuesday, November 18 at 1:00 pm, Memorial donations may be directed to the Parkinson's Association, Animal Friends Humane Society in Hamilton, OH, the Disabled American Veterans or Queen City Hospice.
