Lynn Denise Deckter

Sadly, our beloved Lynn Denise Deckter, of Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away on November 15, 2025 after courageously battling ovarian cancer for over a year. Lynn was born on October 8, 1950, in Los Angeles, California, to Dolly and Hubert Huddleson. Lynn studied nursing and met Howard Deckter while attending nursing school at L.A. County. They were married on June 29, 1975, and soon welcomed their first child, Marc, in 1976, followed by Tracy in 1978 and Leslie in 1982. Lynn went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's Degree in Psychiatric Nursing from the University of Cincinnati, later serving as an advanced practice nurse in a variety of clinical settings, including serving as the clozapine clinic nurse at Central Clinic, which she took great pride in.
Lynn is survived by her devoted husband, Howard; her children, Marc, Tracy, and Leslie; and her cherished grandchildren, Oliver and Marshall. She also leaves behind a loving and heartbroken circle of relatives and close friends.
Lynn was a compassionate, empathetic, and elegant woman with impeccable taste. She had a deep appreciation for the opera, ballet, crime shows, and fashion. Spiritually grounded, Lynn held a profound love and concern for children and was fiercely protective of those she loved. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her intelligence, courage, kindness, and grace. Her greatest joys were the love she shared with her husband and the immeasurable pride she felt as a mother and grandmother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 1:00PM at Weil Kahn Funeral Home, 8350 Cornell Road Cincinnati, Ohio 45249 with visitation at 12:30PM. Burial will follow at United Jewish Cemetery of Loveland, 712 Loveland-Miamiville Road Loveland, Ohio 45140. Shiva will be observed at the Deckter residence on Tuesday from 4-7PM with minyan at 6:30PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Dress for Success would be greatly appreciated.
