Nancy Helen Klein

Klein, Nancy Helen Cohen Hahn, 20 August 1939-8 November 2025. Loving wife of Jerry E. Klein and of the late Rabbi Harold D. Hahn of Rockdale Temple; daughter of the late Dr. Abraham L. Cohen and the late Barbara Zebrack Cohen Mellen of Detroit, Michigan; devoted mother of the late Melanie Hahn Roche (James) of the Hague, Netherlands, and of Barbara M. Hahn of Lubbock, Texas; sister of the late I. William "Bill" Cohen and Recia "Ricki" Herbstman Cohen of Novi, Michigan; stepmother of Amy Klein of Cincinnati and Bradley Klein (Danielle Gustafson) of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and of the late Margy Klein; sister-in-law of Lois Klein Polasky of Cincinnati; also survived by cousin Susan Katz and numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.
Graduate of Brandeis University and the University of Chicago; co-author (with Jonathan Sarna) of The Jews of Cincinnati, and director emeritus of the American Jewish Committee of Cincinnati and the Melton Mini-School in Adult Jewish Learning. She loved poetry. She was famous for her smile, and for remembering everybody's name-and everybody's pet.
