Jean F. Klein

Jean F. Klein, 98, peacefully passed away on Wednesday November 12, 2025. Jean was happily married for over 52 years to Joseph N. Klein, prior to his passing in 2002. Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Maryloretta (Coyne) Grogan. Jean was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School, class of 1944 and was a devote member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Allentown, a place that meant everything to her. Jean worked on the assembly line for the former Western Electric and proudly served as the lunch lady for many years, bringing joy wherever she went. She loved dancing at the local VFW, and as the matriarch of the family, Jean was the heart of every gathering. Known for her remarkable spirit and independence, she continued to drive well into her 90s. At 92 years old, Jean drove all the way from Atlanta to Chicago, and some say she was going 95mph. Her family truly meant the world to her. Jean will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Surviving is her daughter Maryloretta wife of Roy Hart. Grandchidlren: Patrick Hart, Elizabeth wife of Michael Millard, and Katherine wife of Collin Edington. Great Grandchidlren: Bridget and Benjamin Millard. Jean was predeceased by her sister Marita Blackney.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00AM on Monday November 17, 2025, at Our Lady Help of Christians Church. Calling Hours will be 5:00-7:00PM on Sunday November 16, 2025, at the O'Donnell Funeral Home, in Allentown and again on Monday from 8:30-9:40AM in the Funeral Home.
