Linda Dejesus

Linda Starlene Dejesus, age 72, of Midland, Michigan, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Stratford Pines Nursing Facility in Midland. Born on June 18, 1953, in the same city, she was the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Lorraine (Gregory) Ross.
A proud graduate of Bullock Creek High School, Linda's spirit later led her to Florida, where she spent over two decades. Eventually, the call of home brought her back to Michigan, where she continued to touch the lives of those around her. Linda was known for her dedicated service as a waitress, a career that spanned several different restaurants and allowed her to connect with countless people
She was an avid Bingo player. Shopping trips to Walmart were among her favorite outings, and she was a skillful player of Farkle, always ready for a good-natured challenge. Music held a special place in Linda's heart, with the tunes of Elvis and George Strait providing the soundtrack to many cherished moments. Above all, Linda was a devoted mother and a source of laughter and love. Her ability to tell jokes and her willingness to spend time with family made every holiday dinner and family gathering memorable.
Her children, Michael (Brittany) Mercer, Amy (Cliffton) Bass, and Jesse Mercer, will hold dear the warmth and guidance she provided throughout their lives. Linda's legacy continues through her four grandchildren, Conner Mercer-Pollock, Makenzie Mercer, Amber Meeks, and Brett Bass, who will remember their grandmother's joyous spirit and unwavering support. Linda is also survived by her siblings, Clarence (Rosa) Ross and Charles Ross Jr., as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her brother and sister, Janice Slee and Michael Ross, and her special friend Joanne Piland.
Cremation has taken place, and in accordance with Linda's wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and the happiness she brought to so many. Thoses planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
