Linda Dibble Obituary

North Western - Linda K. Dibble, 77, passed away on March 14, 2024 at Wynn Hospital.

She was born in Boonville, NY on February 7, 1947 a daughter of Gordon and Ruth Mills Ringwald. She grew up in her younger years on the East Ava Road where she attended Boonville Central School. Her family moved to North Western in the early 1960's where she graduated from Holland Patent School. Linda then attended Utica School of Commerce. Her first employment was with Rome State School. She was united in marriage with Joseph Wozniak on December 4, 1971 at North Western Methodist Church. The couple moved to Buffalo where she was employed with Prudential Insurance Office retiring after 25 years. After retirement she became a phlebotomist for several area doctors. Mr. Wozniak, a retired Prudential Insurance sales representative, died on November 3, 1999. Linda moved to North Western and married Robert Dibble January 1, 2003. He died October 25, 2023.

Linda was a cat lover throughout the years. She enjoyed taking road trips with Bob throughout New York and Vermont. Linda was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Westernville American Legion and the North Western Methodist Church. She and Bob were avid card players, especially playing Pitch and she enjoyed playing golf. Linda was also an accessor for the Town of Western as well as an assistant to the town clerk.

Surviving are a sister, Barbara Andrews; nieces, Amy (Randy) Morehouse and Sharon Shean; great nieces and nephew, Lauren, Sarah, David and Hannah; a special adopted family from Buffalo, the Shupes; a step daughter, Yvette (Donald) Davies; four step grandchildren; two step great granddaughters; a sister-in-law, Barbara (Bob) Neubauer; a brother-in-law, William (Shirley) Dibble and a sister-in-law, Grace Phetterplace. She was also predeceased by her parents, brothers-in-law, Raymond Andrews, William Arthur, James, Earl and Walter Dibble and sisters-in-law, Geraldine Derejko and Betty Dibble.

Linda's funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Mills Funeral Home, 301 Post Street, Boonville. Calling hours will be from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be in Carmichael Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of one's choice. For an online message of sympathy please go to www.millsfuneralhomes.com.
