Louise Lellanie Dibble, 99, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She passed away peacefully in the loving care of Hospice of Wichita Falls. Louise was born in Wortham, Texas to the late Jordan Alexander and Mary Dawson Alexander on September 16, 1926. She was the youngest of ten children. She attended the Wortham Public Schools and graduated from Prairie View A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in May 1948. She did further study at Bishop College and Midwestern State University.

Louise married John Horace Dibble on October 11, 1952, in Corsicana, Texas. Louise and John moved to Wichita Falls in 1958. They were married for sixty-seven years until his death on June 14, 2020.Louise Dibble was a retired teacher with the Wichita Falls Independent School District (WFISD). In over 35 years with the WFISD, she was dedicated to her profession and gave one hundred percent of herself to it. She taught at the third-grade level and in the diverse learning area. She also served the WFISD in the role of Attendance Officer.

She was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church where she served as Director of the Vacation Bible School, Secretary of the Progressive Circle and Member Mission II. Louise served the Wichita Falls area as a member of numerous community and professional organizations. She was a member of the American Association of University Women, Wichita Falls Area Retired Teachers Association and the Young Men's Christian Association. She served as president of the AARP Chapter 4879 and also served on the Board of Directors of the Wichita Falls Area Food Bank and Eastside Girls and Boys Clubs.

One of Louise's most endearing qualities was that she gave so much of herself to others. She was a caregiver to not only her family through the years, but also to countless other friends and neighbors throughout the Wichita Falls area. She felt that doing good for others was her charge in life and she certainly did it beautifully.

Louise is survived by sons Alan of Wichita Falls and Eric (wife Mary) of Prosper, Texas and two granddaughters, Emma and Erin. She also had many nieces and nephews who loved and cherished her.
