Linda Dufrene Diket passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, at the age of 81. She was born in Paradis, Louisiana, on September 21, 1944 to the late Verdie and Layrence Dufrene.
She is the beloved wife of David T. Diket; the mother of David D. Diket (Tammy), and Tammy Useforge (Jeff); the grandmother of Chere Hammons (Karl), Brandi Clingan (Aaron), Zachary Useforge, and Jordyn Useforge; the great-grandmother of Bo Clingan, Dean Clingan, James Hammons, Eva Rose Clingan, and Grayson Useforge, and the sister of the late Ann D. Hebert and Daniel D. Dufrene. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins, and wonderful lifelong friends.
A native of Louisiana, and proud resident of Mississippi for over 20 years, Linda graduated from West Jefferson High School in 1963. After high school she formed a beautiful family and was a loving stay at home mom. Linda began her professional career as a Real Estate Agent when her children were grown.
Linda was loving, compassionate, and most of all a very caring person to all. She enjoyed spending time outdoors in her garden and spending time reading. She was dedicated to boating on the bayou in her youth. However, her true passion was spending time with her loving family and friends. Linda was unique and irreplaceable, well respected and liked, and will be deeply and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Her spirit and tender nature will remain in the many memories of her cherished friends and family until they meet her again.
The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the outstanding care provided by Dunbar Village Nursing Center and Vital Care Hospice.
