Linda J. (LaViolette) Driscoll, 71, of Treasure Island, FL, and Worcester, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in Saint Anthony Hospital, Saint Petersburg, FL.

Linda is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Arthur R. Driscoll, II; a stepdaughter, Jennifer Z. Driscoll and her partner Jon Stone, Jr. of Saint Petersburg; her granddaughter, Jordyn Z. Driscoll; her brother-in-law, James F. Wilson, and his children, Richard B. Wilson, Kimberly A. Wilson, and Benjamin J. Wilson; as well as great nephews and a niece, Morgan T. Wilson, Steve Perez, Jr., and Hunter J. Wilson. She was predeceased by her loving sister, Sharon R. Wilson in December 2022. Linda was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Richard and Yolanda (Corvino) LaViolette, and graduated from Doherty Memorial High School.

Linda was blessed with an incredible life full of adventure, fun, and most of all love; her adventure took her from Worcester to California to Florida as well as several stops around the world. Linda began working out of high school as a scheduler, booking rock bands in the 1970’s, this awarded her the opportunity to work with the likes of the Rolling Stones, Chicago, and Aerosmith. She later opened a graphic design business in the 1980’s, and then began working as a publisher for several area magazines. She also earned her real estate license and enjoyed working with prospective home buyers for several years.

Her adventure would take her to Monterey, California in 1996, shortly after meeting her partner in life, Arthur. Together they enjoyed California and the birth of their granddaughter, Jordyn. Linda helped care for Jordyn while her step-daughter worked until 2014, when they all moved to Florida. Linda would often accompany Arthur on business trips across the globe where she could visit ancient cities, beautiful European country sides, and secluded beaches. Linda was fortunate to keep her home in Worcester where she would frequently spend summers so she could be with her sister and all her extended family.

Linda cherished life and her family, and shared a deep love with her husband, forming a remarkable partnership. Linda will be remembered for her quick wit, sense of humor, and larger-than-life personality, all beautifully encapsulated in her petite frame. Linda will forever be celebrated whenever we gather with friends to watch the sunset, enveloped in the radiant orange and red hues. These moments will always remind us of her warmth, her vibrant spirit, and the joy she found in life's beautiful pleasures.

Calling Hours will be on Friday, June 21, from 4 pm until 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. Her Funeral will be on Saturday, June 22, departing the funeral home in procession at 9:40 a.m. enroute to a 10 am Funeral Mass at Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Interment will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery, Worcester.
