Linda Mullis Obituary

LANCASTER, S.C. - Mrs. Linda Flowers Mullis, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and faithful servant of the Lord, entered her heavenly home on August 3, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born on March 11, 1943, to Mary Stogner Flowers and Woodrow Flowers, Linda lived a life marked by deep devotion to her family, her church, and her Savior. For 63 years, she was the cherished wife of the late Dr. Rommy Mullis, standing beside him in life and ministry as a devoted pastor's wife – a role she embraced with grace, dignity, and quiet strength.
Linda is survived by her two daughters: Melanie Mullis Lee (Johnny) and Rosemary Mullis-Boykin (Mickey), who continue to walk in the legacy of faith and love she instilled. She was a proud grandmother to Mackenzie Lee Riggins (Dalton), Jordan Lee (Adrienne), and Haley Hallman (DJ), and a deeply loved great-grandmother to six precious great-grandchildren: Asher, Drake, and Huxley Riggins; Brooke and Parker Lee; and Kannon Hallman.
She is also survived by her brother, Gary Flowers (Joyce), whose lifelong bond with Linda was a source of joy and strength.
Linda's life was a testimony of quiet faithfulness. She was known for her tender heart, her love of hymns, her deep prayer life, and her joy in ministry. As a pastor's wife, she served not only her husband, but her church family, with gentle wisdom and unwavering support. Her home was a haven of peace, and her presence was a reflection of Christ's love.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to those who cared for Linda with kindness and dignity during her final days: Agape Hospice, Janie Faulkenberry, Angie Catoe, and Mary Hinson.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Antioch Baptist Church, with visitation beginning at 3 p.m. All who knew her are invited to gather and honor a life rooted in faith and overflowing with love.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Antioch Baptist Church, 1734 Antioch Church Road, Lancaster, SC 29720.
Her favorite scripture, John 14:1-6, reminds us: "Let not your heart be troubled…" And though she has left this earthly home, we rest in the peace of knowing she is now face to face with the Savior she so deeply loved.
Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home (www.mrcfuneralhome.com) of Chesterfield, S.C. is serving the Mullis family.
