Foster, Linda G.- Age 75 of Flint, died February 2, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 1:00pm at the Flint Central Church of the Nazarene, 1261 W. Bristol Road, in Flint with Minister David Hager officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc. Those desiring may make contributions to Cystic Fibrosis in memory of Trisha Cory. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of the service at the church.
Linda was born February 15, 1950, in Matewan, West Virginia, growing up in eastern Kentucky until the age of 12 when the family moved to Michigan. She was the daughter of Robert Lee and Edith (Hager) Coleman. On March 5, 1966, she married the love of her life William “Jack” Foster, together they enjoyed a wonderful 55 years together until his passing in 2021. Linda was a dedicated homemaker and stay at home mom and grandmother, her greatest passion was her family. In her early years she was a cake decorator, a candy maker and baker. She enjoyed playing cards and games with friends and family. She was a member of the Fenton Lawn General Baptist Church and later a member of Deerfield Primitive Baptist Church.
Linda is survived by her two children, daughter Kimberly (Scott) Dorenbecker and son William “Bill” (Timmery) Foster Jr; two grandsons Jackson Paul Foster and Tyson James Foster; a sister Robin (Dan) Holifield; special friends Dave and Sharon Cory as well as numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack Foster Sr., three brothers James Coleman, Michael Coleman and Mark Rose; one sister Brenda Kimball and three infant grandsons.
The family would like to say a special thank you to the staffs of Care Team Hospice as well as the Oaks at Woodfield for their exceptional care and concern for their mother.
