Linda Fusinetti Obituary

Linda Jo Fusinetti
Born: December 8, 1950 in Spring Valley, IL
Died: November 16, 2023 in Chicago, IL
Linda Jo Fusinetti, 72, of Peru, passed away November 16, 2023 at the University of Chicago Medical Center. She was born in Spring Valley on December 8, 1950 to Armando and Josephine (Schmidt) Romanelli.
Linda had a strong passion and love for horses, and was a member of the Little Vermillion Boarding Stables. Linda enjoyed spending much her time on rides and at the stables. She enjoyed sharing and teaching her granddaughter her love of riding and caring for horses, and making memories with her friends and family. Linda also enjoyed sketching and painting, crafts, bird watching, and gardening.
Linda worked many years, and retired from the Putnam County School District. Working for the district allowed her to be present and engaged in her daughter's sports and activities, which was very important to her.
Linda was an incredibly strong, silly, wise, and loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She instilled a very important lesson throughout her fight….that when all is said and done, we are only left with memories.
And so, Linda made incredible memories with all who love her.
Visitation will be held at 9:00 AM on Saturday, November 25th at Holy Trinity Church in Cherry. Following visitation, a mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 AM at the church, with Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Burial will follow at the Cherry Miner's Cemetery. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is assisting Linda's family with arrangements.
Linda is survived by two daughters Michelle (Frank) Rosellini of Willow Springs and Stephanie Johnson of Byron; three grandchildren LaVerne, Celicia, and Nathaniel Johnson; one great-grandson Zyer Johnson; four siblings Ralph (Peg) Romanelli of Rock Falls, Mary (Mike) Dremann of Princeton, John (Sherry) Romanelli of Cherry, and Karen (Steven) Stremlau of Mendota; brother-in-law David Brown; uncle Cliff (Janet) Schmidt of Mendota; aunt Alice Schmidt of Peru; and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Paula Brown.
