Linda Dacarre Futrell Lattimore, daughter of the late Mary Futrell Bouknight, was born on June 8, 1951, in Smithfield, North Carolina. She peacefully entered eternal rest on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family and the presence of her Savior.
Linda was raised in Johnston County, where she embraced the values of faith, family, and perseverance from an early age. She attended Johnston Central Training School in Smithfield, North Carolina, and graduated in 1969. Known for her bright smile, kind heart, and joyful spirit, Linda accepted Christ early in life and devoted herself to ministry and service throughout her years.
A dedicated member of Cornerstone Tabernacle Ministries, Inc., Linda faithfully served as a minister. Later, she extended her ministry at Greater Love Church, sharing the Gospel with conviction, humility, and compassion. Her passion for prayer, steady encouragement, and deep love for the Word of God inspired those around her. She lived her faith not only in word but in deed, exemplifying love and perseverance and guiding others toward Christ by her example.
Linda was a devoted wife to Ronald S. Lattimore, with whom she shared 41 years of marriage filled with love, faith, and devotion. She was a nurturing mother, a proud grandmother, a loving great-grandmother, and a faithful friend. As a dedicated homemaker, she took great pride in creating a home filled with laughter, love, and peace. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every meal, conversation, and prayer.
Linda also found joy in simple pleasures—cheering on her favorite pro basketball teams, sharing wisdom and humor with family, and offering a listening ear to anyone in need. Her legacy is one of love for the Lord, dedication to her family, and a faith that never wavered. Though her earthly journey has ended, her light continues to shine through the many lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Cheryl Lewis; her cherished granddaughter, Ciara Gee; and her two brothers, James Hinton and Charles Griffin. Linda is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband, Ronald S. Lattimore; her devoted children, Sharon Leonard (Michael), Rochelle Richardson, Katrice Richardson, Chad Lattimore, and Sean Lattimore (Carolyn); 17 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins; extended family; and many dear friends and church family who will forever hold her in their hearts.
