Robert Harold Moore

Clayton, NC: Mr. Robert Harold Moore, age 86, of Hereford Drive passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at his residence. Graveside Services will be held-2:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2026 at Lee’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery in Four Oaks.

Robert was born on March 3, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Lawrence Hoyt and Clyde Cindy Lee Moore. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Christine Creech, Elwin Moore, L.H. Moore, Hoover Moore, Gretchel Jones, Geraldine Powell, Melvin Moore, Billy Moore, Marie Tyson, Margaret Moore, Linwood Moore, Glenwood Moore, and Raeford Moore. Robert was a UNC Graduate and went on to work as a social worker at the Murdock Center in Butner. He had many interests including antiques, old toys, classic cars, hood ornaments, art, and history. He was an avid Tarheel fan and a master gardener. He had recently started helping Bailey’s Human Rescue’s Speedway Cat Project in Four Oaks where he was instrumental in rescuing feral cats and finding them homes, most of the homeless cats have since been adopted because of his help. Uncle Robert loved his family and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Surviving includes his sister, Audrey Moore Wooten and many nieces and nephews.
