Linda L. Galloway

Linda L. Galloway, loving mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away Saturday, October 06, 2018 at the age of 70. She was raised in Bristol, Pennsylvania and graduated from Truman High School in 1966. Prior to moving to Yardley, PA, Linda was a longtime Newtown resident where she raised her two children and worked as a test administrator at the Law School Admissions Council for 27 years. Linda regularly attended the Kingdom Hall in Newtown, PA as a publisher of Jehovah's Witnesses. She was also a proud member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. A talented seamstress and artist, Linda was a compassionate soul who opened her heart and home to friends, family, and animals in need. In remembrance of Linda: Wear something orange, strike up a conversation with a stranger in the checkout line, find a stray dog a home, pick up some "scratchies" (scratch off lottery tickets), offer a friend in need a ride to work or helping hand, or call your family over for Sunday dinner for no other reason than it's been too long. These are just a few of the things that made Linda the special person she was. She was affectionately called "Mom-Mom" by her four "grandbabies" who were the center of her world. Linda was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Elsie Galloway and four older brothers. She is survived by her adoring children, daughter Angela Lampkin and husband Ernie, son Rondie James and wife Lynda, daughter Dezrie Galloway, cherished grandchildren, Eryn, Elyse, Erika, and Matthew, as well as a host of beloved relatives. Friends and family are invited to Linda's Life Celebration at the Swartz Givnish Funeral Home, 323 E. Washington Ave, Newtown, PA 18940 on Saturday, October 13th. Viewing hours will be held 10am –12pm, followed by the service at 12 PM.
