Linda Gardner Obituary
GARDNER, Linda Shirley, 74, of North Providence, formally of Pawtucket, passed away on Sunday, August 21 2022 at the Woman and Infants Hospital in Providence. She was the beloved wife of George W. Gardner. They have been happily married for the past 56 years.
Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Reno and Mildred Sabatini. She resided in North Providence for the past 5 years, previously residing in Pawtucket.
Linda enjoyed reading, trips to the Casino, sewing, and most of all, spending time with her family.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her three children, Karen M. Gardner and her wife Mary Rose of Unionville, CT; Sharon Gardner of Winter Park, FL; and George W. Gardner III of Pawtucket, RI; her two siblings Donna Gouin and her husband Michael of North Smithfield, RI; and Richard Sabatini and his wife Donna of Cranston, RI; her five grandchildren, Alexandra, Samantha, George, Kaitlyn and Elise; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary Goyette, Reno Sabatini, Bill Sabatini, Thomas Sabatini, Ronald Sabatini, Nancy George, Marilyn Hoyer, Shirley Martel, Lillian Jaroma Hughes
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to Linda's Life Celebration to be held with Visiting Hours to be held on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 12PM to 2PM in the J. J. Duffy Funeral Home, 757 Mendon Road, RTE 122, Cumberland, RI. A prayer service will be held at 2PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 931 Jefferson Blvd STE 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
