Linda Diane Shrapshire Garrett, 67, of Spartanburg, SC, passed away on October 25, 2024. Born on July 20, 1957, to the late Mary Cartee and Joe Shropshire, Linda brought warmth and joy to all who knew her.
She attended Dorman High School and dedicated her life to serving others, starting her career in hospitality at the Pioneer Fish Camp, where she worked alongside family. Later, she retired as a waitress but found her greatest joy in being a homemaker and raising her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church. She cherished her family, and her love extended to her husband of 24 years, Mark Blanchard; her daughter, Angie Garrett; and her grandchildren, Brandon and Hayle Harris. Linda was also the proud grandmother of nine great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters, Jane S. Frey and Sheila Shropshire. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Susan S. Jennings and Anita S. Towery.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024, 2PM at the J.M. Dunbar Funeral Home, officiated by the Rev. Chuck Thornton. The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Heritage Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Peace Free Will Baptist Church, PO Box 170835 Spartanburg SC 29301.
