Gerst, Linda Kay

October 25, 1949 - May 30, 2025

Linda Kay Gerst, age 75, passed away Friday, May 30, 2025 at her home. She was born October 25, 1949 in Alton, IL.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ira McClintock, mother Vera Raymond and brother Kenneth Raymond.

She attended The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis and was once a member of the Cathedral Choir.

She was appreciated for her volunteer work with the Cathedral Choir and needlework for Special Olympic Olympians, lap blankets for those in need and hats for Neo-Natal infants. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her beloved husband, John, of 53 years, her son John Matthew (Alison), her grandson, Benjamin, all of St. Louis. Missouri and sister Paula Cain of Kathleen, Georgia.

Visitation will be held at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood on Thursday, June 5th from 4pm - 8pm. Funeral will be held at the The Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 am. Private graveside to follow.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Heart Association. boppchapel.com
